A NOTE FROM KHAI.

HATCH started out small, just a group of friends who wanted to make theatre that felt honest, a bit noisy,

a bit messy, and full of heart. From Hatch Theatrics to HATCH, we tried to hold space for stories that weren’t always seen, to shake things up a little in the local arts landscape.

Then came the pandemic. Our Instagram got hacked, some of our memories got wiped and maybe that was a sign. Maybe HATCH had run its course.

These days, we’re no longer active as a collective. But all of us are still doing our own thing. Still creating,

still finding our voices in different ways. HATCH may have quietened down, but the work we did still echoes.

We remember the shows, the laughter, the late-night rehearsals, the risks we took, and the people who believed in us.

So don’t forget us.
More importantly don’t forget the work.

Thank you to our past members and mentors. You definitely shaped who I am today, in all the best,
worst, and most unforgettable ways.
